The Water Coalition works through its water-related campaigns advancing and supporting sound participatory approaches utilizing and conserving water in an informed manner; encouraging the practice and responsible use of the critical resource... educating and enlisting humanity to protect and elevate the quality of the natural and human environment.

By education, grassroots conservation and outreach the Water Coalition advances pioneering and innovative work in the field. The Water Coalition promotes and gains strength from 1) its focus on alliance building and shared action to modernize thinking about water 2) its long-term partnerships to increase the effectiveness and integration of water programs using sound practices. Five key themes providing the cornerstone for action are - tackling urgent water priorities; stimulating effective water awareness; harmonizing public, private and political choices; generating water wisdom and safe water future.
